At Papé Machinery, our focus has always been supporting our customers and providing end-to-end solutions. In order to uphold our promise to “Keep You Moving,” we are always looking for the newest technology to better assist you in your day-to-day work. This means showcasing the best John Deere machinery on the market, with regular improvements in power, controls, and uptime. More importantly, it also means a dedication to continuous updates in software, communication, and investments in advanced technology.
With that, we would like to introduce to you Kespry & Papé’s partnership for Construction Management and Operations.
The Partnership: Papé Machinery + Kespry
On March 7, 2017, at ConExpo in Las Vegas, Nevada, John Deere, and Kespry announced an exclusive global strategic alliance in which John Deere Construction & Forestry dealers (Papé) will provide the Kespry Aerial Intelligence System to customers.
Unlike its competitors, Kespry provides both drone hardware and easy-to-use software providing the entire package and falling in line with Papé’s pursuit of end-to-end solutions. Full topographical integration with Papé’s suite of Construction Technology, including Topcon Grade Control, provides a simple solution for surveying projects, developing 2D and 3D topographical renderings, on-demand inventory tracking and verifying proposals.
It’s as simple as setting the Kespry 2S drone down, drawing a flight path of the area to be surveyed on your iPad and letting the drone do the rest. From there, the drone uploads the collected data to a cloud platform and makes it accessible for use in as little as 30 minutes. This not only streamlines and speeds up the surveying process but also improves worksite safety, increases the amount of data collected, and more accurately measures inventory and resources in real-time.
One of Papé Machinery’s longtime customers, D&T Construction, has been utilizing the Kespry drone and Project Engineer, Dan Liechty, had this to say about Kespry and Papé Machinery.
“Part of our decision [to use Kespry] was having Papé and John Deere recommend this company,” Liechty said. "We need the Topcon system, the equipment, the drone, we need it all to work together. Kespry is kind of the full solution. There are other companies out there that you know kind of piecemeal different parts, they [Kespry] provide everything.”
Who’s Kespry?
Founded in 2013, Kespry is the leading commercial drone and data intelligence provider for the construction, insurance and property, pulp and paper, and mining and aggregates industries. Based in Menlo Park, California, Kespry has raised over $60 million in funding and in 2017 brought in current Chairman and CEO George Matthew. Matthews is known for his experience in scaling technology companies at various growth stages and his resume includes stints with Salesforce and most recently Alteryx, a software and data analytics company.
While being a relatively young company, they have displayed accelerated growth and entries into applicable industries due to their commitment to machine learning and cloud capabilities, integration with multiple enterprise systems and increased sources for sensor-based data. This will only continue to expand their ability to serve customers and improve collaboration with all partners and associated technology.
